Part Broadway/Part Hoedown! Carolina Ballet closes the 20072008 season June 5-8, 2008 with the famous partnership between Broadway choreographer Lynne Taylor-Corbett and Tony-award winning string band The Red Clay Ramblers. This Red Clay Ballet blends the liveliness of bluegrass music with the grace and athleticism of ballet for a foot-stomping good time. Tony Award winning band The Red Clay Ramblers will be performing on stage with the dancers. June 5, 6, & 7 at 8:00 p.m. June 7 and 8 at 2:00 p.m.
Not only will there be world-class dancing to enjoy, but this weekend is also an opportunity to celebrate North Carolina Heritage. Pottery Exhibit ! (exhibit is free to the public ) Be sure to check out the special exhibit of famous North Carolina potters that will be on display during all shows in the lobby. One-of-a-kind pots will be for sale to benefit Carolina Ballet and feature some of the state's top artists. Artists include: MARK HEWITT The exhibit will be open for viewing one hour before each performance and the doors will be locked after the performance.
